Thanks you for the magickal photographs, in particular the one of Pendle House Department Store. I spent a sleepless night a couple of weeks ago trying to remember the name of that place. The crudely arranged lettering of the sign was clear in my mind, but the wording had escaped me. Now I know where to take that scratched, orange serving-tray back to.
You're welcome. Our favourite memory of Pendle House was on the run up to Christmas 1981, they held a festive promotion where customers were encouraged to dress up as Lobot, and slap various pieces of meat they'd hung from the ceiling near the escalator. I forget what you won.
