Back when I were a lad, if tv shows were deemed too odd or terrifying for the late-night slot, they were put on kids telly in the after-school slot.
If one particular show wasn't deemed quite scary enough for the stoical youngsters of them times, it was shown on Christmas night, circa 1972..
